IT staff augmentation · Nearshore teams from Brazil · Serving the US and Canada

Hiring senior developers shouldn't be slow, expensive, and uncertain.

We scope what you need in 2 business days. Pre-vetted profiles to choose from in 7. Senior professionals who move your roadmap forward, with no surprises halfway through.

// speed and quality

Speed and quality are not a trade-off

PureCode's technical, cultural, and behavioral vetting takes the guesswork out of hiring, makes costs predictable, and puts qualified professionals on your team. Our staffing model lets us do it quickly, and it solves problems like these:

  1. 01

    The work grew faster than the team

    The work is here, the deadline is already set, and opening a role means adding weeks to something that is already behind. Here you don't start a search. In 7 business days you receive profiles that have already cleared our full assessment, and you choose among them.

  2. 02

    The stack isn't the one your team knows

    Every team evaluates well in the areas it knows. When the need falls outside that, evaluating turns into guessing. Our technical interviews are run by people who write the same code the candidate will write, so the profile reaches you already filtered. You are deciding about a person, not a resume.

  3. 03

    The engagement doesn't fit a standard package

    Not every need fits a traditional hiring format. Seniority, headcount, and the mix of profiles come out of the scoping, not out of a pre-built package. We design each engagement around the specific need in front of us.

  4. 04

    Growth shouldn't mean new overhead

    Scaling a team usually means scaling recruiting, payroll, and people management along with it. With PureCode it is one contract. You manage the work, we handle everything else.

All of these lead to the same place: PureCode delivers the professional or the team your need calls for, without the drag of a hiring process. And if the person is not performing the way you expected, the replacement stands for the life of the contract.

// the working day

Same working day, not the next one

Brazil sits just one to two hours from Eastern Time. Your team and ours share most of the business day by default, with no one waking up at 5 a.m. to make a standup work.

When a client needs more, we shift the Brazilian workday to match. Teams supporting West Coast clients start later and cover the full afternoon in Pacific Time. Overlap is something we set up around your schedule, not a constraint you inherit.

// the criterion

The hours you need covered go into the briefing and become a search criterion before we look for anyone.

// the supply chain

How many companies sit between you and the developer?

Brazil is one of the largest engineering talent pools in the Americas, and a lot of nearshore vendors recruit here. If you are comparing shortlists, there is a real chance more than one option in front of you is sourcing from the same place.

We are not going to claim Brazilian engineers are better than anyone else's. What is worth checking is where the companies you are comparing actually do their hiring, and how many layers sit between you and the person writing the code. Every layer has to recruit that person, price them, and resell them, and somebody pays for that layer.

Our developers are ours. One contract, no intermediary, and you talk directly to the people doing the work.

// the vetting

What does our vetting mean in practice?

Technical, cultural and behavioral are three easy words to write. At PureCode they are four assessment stages, all run by us, all completed before any profile reaches you. No resume is sent without clearing all four.

  1. 01

    Behavior and soft skills

    The assessment opens with a structured behavioral interview. That is where we read what a resume does not show: how the person handles technical disagreement, ambiguous scope, and remote work inside a multidisciplinary team.

  2. 02

    Technical depth

    An interview led by a senior technical lead at PureCode. The person assessing writes the same code the candidate will write. It is exactly the filter that is hard to apply when the stack is not the one your team knows.

  3. 03

    Code in practice

    A hands-on challenge with a deadline. Scope and time vary by profile and type of work. We assess the solution proposed and the decisions behind it.

  4. 04

    Cultural fit

    Staffing only works when the person joins your team and operates inside your process and ceremonies, with your people, using your tools. The final stage exists to verify that compatibility before the placement, not after it.

  5. 05

    The final decision is yours

    You choose. No profile is ever imposed.

// your screening

We fold your process into ours

The four stages above are our baseline. If your company runs its own hiring process, technical tests, exercises, or specific requirements, we build them into our assessment track.

You decide how involved you want to be. Join only the final interview with the profiles already filtered, or design the stages with us and sit in on every one.

Customize your hiring process

// the timeline

How long until someone is actually working?

Fifteen business days from briefing to a developer on your team, in four steps, each with its own deadline. The first response lands in 2 business days, and it is a precise read on what you need.

  1. 01

    Briefing scoped

    2 business days

    We come back with our reading of what you need: seniority, stack, the hours to cover, and what the search will prioritize. This is where an ambiguous briefing becomes a search criterion, and it is what keeps the next two weeks from being spent looking for the wrong person.

  2. 02

    First pre-vetted profiles

    5 to 7 business days

    We find and assess the closest-matching profiles and put them in front of you. You choose. No profile is imposed.

  3. 03

    Hire closed, developer on your team

    7 to 15 business days

    Contract and onboarding run in parallel with your decision. The clock starts at the briefing, not at your choice. If your interview loop takes longer, this step moves with you.

  4. 04

    Continuous follow-up

    for the life of the contract

    Once they are in, following the placed professional is our job and it does not stop. It is the step without a deadline because it does not end, and it is the same reason replacement holds for as long as the contract runs.

// the benefits

What you gain by staffing with PureCode

Replacement with no expiration date

If it doesn't work out in month two or month eighteen, whether the reason is fit or performance, we replace at no cost and with no cap on swaps. We win when the placement lasts, not when it gets replaced.

Professionals who keep growing

Continuous performance follow-up and technical development, on us. You get the growth without managing it or paying for it.

One contract, multiple placements

One developer or a full team, the relationship stays the same. Hiring, payroll, and employment costs stay with us. Scaling doesn't turn into new bureaucracy.

Technical management stays yours

The professional reports directly to you, in your process and your codebase. No middleman translating priorities. You talk to the people doing the work.

// frequently asked

What comes up before the first contract.

01

What is IT staff augmentation?

IT staff augmentation is bringing in technology professionals from a specialized company to work inside another company's team, wether on a temporary or long project-based allocation, with no direct employment relationship. It is also called IT outsourcing or team extension. The model covers more than developers: QA engineers, UI/UX designers, product owners and project managers, so it can complete an existing squad or build a complete new one. Companies use it to scale technical capacity quickly without struggling with the traditional hiring cycle.

02

What is the difference between staff augmentation and recruiting?

Recruiting, including headhunting, is a placement service: an agency refers qualified candidates for a role and charges a fee, usually a percentage of the hired professional's salary. After the referral, you hire the person, manage them, and carry full responsibility for them. Staff augmentation is different. You get a professional already vetted and ready to work, while the staffing company stays responsible for the contract, for replacement, and for compliance throughout the allocation. The relationship does not end at the referral.

03

How does PureCode's staff augmentation model work, and who does the professional report to?

The professional reports directly to your team and your technical leadership, as part of your internal team, with your tools and workflows, and no intermediate management layer. You set priorities, run your own process and direct the technical work. PureCode handles the contract, payroll, the HR management behind that, and does not interfere in the day-to-day technical decisions of your project.

04

How long does it take to onboard a professional?

We usually need two business days for scoping the profile you need, five to seven business days to send you the pre-vetted profiles, and seven to fifteen business days total to place the professional working on your team. Exact timing depends on the technical profile and the seniority required, and we'll keep you posted all the way.

05

Can I hire a developer for just a few months, or for a single project?

Yes. You can hire a professional for exactly as long as the work requires, whether that is a specific deliverable, a seasonal peak, or a technology the current team does not cover. Long-term assignments don't need an end date either. Professionals often stay working inside a client's team indefinitely.

06

What happens if the professional does not perform, or leaves mid-project?

PureCode guarantees replacement at any time during our contract, at no additional cost, whether the reason is performance or availability. There is no cap on replacements and no expiration date for it. Onboarding the replacement is our responsibility, structured to keep the impact on the project as small as possible.

07

How does PureCode assure technical quality throughout the engagement?

Every PureCode professional assigned follows a structured individual development plan and keeps developing further long, not only before the assignment. Before placement, professionals are trained in the use of AI coding assistants, including Claude Code, within our data protection and compliance rules and within yours. During the engagement, each professional has individual follow-up and access to a senior technical team for periodic consultation. That matters even more if they are the only person carrying a specific technology inside your team.

08

Which technologies and developer profiles does PureCode provide?

PureCode provides professionals at every seniority level across the main stacks in the market, with particular depth in mid-level and senior developers in Laravel, Angular, GoLang, Python, React Native, and Flutter. We also place profiles experienced in TypeScript and Node.js, DevOps with Docker and Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure.

09

What kind of company is staff augmentation suited for?

Companies of any size and sector, at any stage of technical maturity. It works for a company with no structured internal technology team that needs to build that capacity from scratch, and also works equally well for software houses, technology consultancies, and companies with established technical process, that need to scale quickly, absorb demand peaks or cover a technology gap.

10

How do you handle the time zone difference with US and Canadian teams?

Brazil sits one to two hours from US Eastern Time, so most of the business day overlaps by default. No need late night calls. When more overlap is needed, we can shift the Brazilian workday to match. Teams supporting West Coast clients start later and cover the full Pacific afternoon. The hours you need covered go into the briefing and become a search criterion before we look for anyone.

11

Are the professionals fluent in english?

Seniors placed with clients in the United States and Canada work at C1 or C2 on the CEFR scale, the standard most international employers use. In practice that means holding a technical argument, disagreeing precisely and explaining a trade-off without anyone translating. Candidates usually reach us already certified. We confirm the level in practice before anyone is put in front of a client, and the level shown on the profile you receive is one we verified ourselves.

12

Who do we sign the contract with, and how does billing work?

You sign one contract with us. That single contract covers from one professional up to a full team, so adding, replacing, or scaling down does not create a new counterparty. Billing runs monthly in US dollars, paid to a US bank account. Hiring, payroll, benefits, and employment obligations stay with us, so none of the administrative weight of an international hire lands on your side.
